Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples for laboratory testing and perform related clerical duties. The role may involve using your own vehicle for courier work or phlebotomy at various locations.

Reporting to the Director of Laboratory, you will support the center's mission and comply with core values. The position requires California CPT certification, BCLS (CPR), and a valid California driver's license with vehicle insurance.

Qualifications

• Typing and laboratory computer systems knowledge preferred.
• MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred.
• REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: California CPT, BCLS (CPR), California driver's license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples for lab testing.
• Perform clerical duties related to charting and paperwork.
• Conduct some tests under supervision of medical technologists.
• Retrieve and distribute reports according to procedure.
• May use own vehicle as courier or to perform phlebotomy at other locations.
