Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples for laboratory testing and to handle related clerical duties. The role may involve performing some tests under supervision and distributing reports according to procedure.

Ideal candidates will hold a California CPT certification, CPR (BCLS), a valid CA driver’s license with vehicle insurance, and an associate degree in science or MLT. The position may require travel to other locations as a courier or phlebotomist.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of typing and laboratory computer systems preferred.
• Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred.
• Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) required. Current BCLS (CPR) certificate required.
• Current California driver's license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples for lab testing; perform clerical duties related to charting and paperwork.
• Perform some tests under supervision of medical technologists.
• Retrieve and distribute reports according to procedure.
• May serve as courier or perform phlebotomy at other locations using own vehicle.
