Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of typing and laboratory computer systems preferred.
• Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred.
• Current California CPT (Phlebotomy Technician) required.
• Current BCLS (CPR) certificate required.
• Current California driver's license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood samples for lab testing purposes.
• Performs clerical duties associated with charting and paperwork.
• Retrieves and distributes reports according to procedure.
• Performs some tests under supervision of medical technologists.
• May use own vehicle as courier or to perform phlebotomy at other locations.
