The IU Health laboratories offer comprehensive services, operating 24/7 and performing over 19 million tests annually, serving hospitals and physicians nationwide.
The hours are 6:00 am-2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays from 6:00 am-1:00 pm.
The Phlebotomist performs laboratory services including specimen collection via venipuncture, order entry, blood component prep, specimen processing, and related clerical tasks like entering orders, answering calls, and managing faxes. Responsibilities may also include patient and specimen registration and delivery. Strong customer service skills and compassion are essential.
