The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana, open 24/7, performing over 19 million tests annually. We also provide laboratory testing services to hospitals and physicians nationwide.

Position Details

This Outpatient Phlebotomy Float Pool position covers IU Health North (Carmel), Saxony (Fishers), and West (Avon) Outpatient Labs.

• Mileage Reimbursement
• Shift Hours: 8:00am-6:15pm, with 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday. Labs are also open on Saturday mornings; floats may be scheduled to work on Saturdays as needed.

This role offers variety, working alongside multiple IU Health Outpatient Laboratory Teams. Responsibilities include specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing, specimen registration, and delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program; laboratory experience or coursework in biological or chemical sciences preferred
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving history
• Understanding of traffic laws in Indiana
• Proven computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
