Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist - Inpatient at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL, per diem with night shifts available. Responsibilities include specimen collection, labeling, and processing, with testing orders entered into the computer system.

Training includes a phlebotomy program with 100 clinical hours and CPR (BLS). Starting rate for Phlebotomist I is $19.25/hour; Phlebotomist II requires at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• CPR (BLS) required by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of phlebotomy training program with minimum 100 clinical training hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing under supervision.
• Perform pre-analytical processing and ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Register patient information and order laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Phlebotomist -Inpatient
• Location: Edward Hospital 801 S. Washington St. Naperville, IL.
• PER DIEM (As needed)
• NIGHT shifts available: 10pm- 6:30am,10pm -2am: Rotating weekend and holidays required

What Will You Do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Phlebotomist I

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Starting rate: $19.25/hr.

Phlebotomist II

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
