Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is hiring a Phlebotomist Inpatient at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This 0.5 FTE position runs from 5am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends and holiday rotation. You will collect and label specimens, process orders, and enter data in the lab system.

Requires a phlebotomy training program with 100 clinical hours or a phlebotomy II background; a high school diploma is mandatory. Part-time benefits apply, and starting pay is $19.31–$28.00 per hour.

• Completion of a phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Phlebotomist II requires a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Phlebotomist Inpatient Location: Elmhurst Hospital 155 E. Brush Hill Road Elmhurst, IL. Part Time: 0.5 FTE (about 20 hrs./week) Hours: 5am-1:30pm Monday -Friday with alternating weekends and holiday rotation

What will you do

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

What you will need

• Phlebotomist I High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours Starting rate: $19.25/hr.
• Phlebotomist II High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
