Job summary

Endeavor Health operates a phlebotomy team at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL, inviting applicants for a part-time Phlebotomist Inpatient. The role covers 20 hours per week with a 5am-1:30pm schedule, Monday–Friday and alternating weekends/holidays, under supervision to collect and process specimens.

You’ll perform specimen labeling, data entry, and coordinate with lab staff to ensure timely testing and proper specimen handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Starting rate is $19.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing under supervision.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Phlebotomist Inpatient
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital 155 E. Brush Hill Road Elmhurst, IL.
• Part Time: 0.5 FTE (about 20 hrs./week)

Hours:

5am-1:30pm Monday -Friday with alternating weekends and holiday rotation

What will you do:

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

What you will need:

• Phlebotomist I
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program including a minimum of 100 clinical training hours
  • Starting rate: $19.25/hr.
• Phlebotomist II
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience required
