Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist III in Fairhope, AL for a 3+ month contract, 3rd shift (8:30 pm - 7:00 am). Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and ensuring specimen integrity in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, with Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Benefits and hours will be discussed during the interview.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED 5-7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and correctly matches requisition forms to tubes.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures; ensure labeling and test orders are accurate.
• Attend trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations while maintaining specimen integrity.
