Zaddy Solutions in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential to become permanent. This 3rd shift position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30pm–7am, 10-hour shifts. Expected duration is 3 months with possible permanency.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples appropriately.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
