Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a pay range starting at $21.50 per hour and opportunities for annual bonuses based on performance and company factors.

The successful candidate will collect specimens, perform lab tasks, verify orders, and maintain accurate records while upholding quality and safety standards in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs as required.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
