Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team, drawing blood across all ages, processing specimens, and performing reference laboratory procedures. The role offers opportunities to advance skills within a leading healthcare system.

The position requires the ability to collect specimens, perform glucose tests and cultures, and handle specimens in the LIS with accuracy and care. Shifts are variable, with a sign-on bonus possible for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Blood collection experience from patients of all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood, process specimens and perform reference laboratory processing in laboratory testing.
• Perform related techniques, such as blood glucose tests and blood cultures.
• Prepare samples for testing and manage specimens in the laboratory information system.
• Prepare and ship reference laboratory specimens and resolve pending specimens and pending transports.
• Monitor test ordering and requisitions to ensure compliance with outpatient laboratory testing.
