Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a full-time schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role focuses on specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to lab procedures to ensure accurate test orders and billing compliance.

The position requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, plus keyboard/data entry skills.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• HS diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred (CA/NV/WA).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Collect billing information and payments following corporate policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance/temperature records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
