Job summary

You will work under established procedures and adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations. Requirements include valid phlebotomy certification (state-specific) and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens ensuring specimen integrity.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and data in the system.
• Attend required trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and relay results as needed.
