Job summary

Talentify seeks an experienced phlebotomist to assist with blood collection, specimen processing, and accurate data recording in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

You will demonstrate venipuncture techniques, supervise labeling and centrifugation, and ensure specimens are properly stored and transported according to protocols. Excellent communication with patients and adherence to safety regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state.
• Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling and processing specimens per procedures.
• Document maintenance data, decontaminate work areas, and update patient info.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisitions, label tubes, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as needed.
• Ensure proper packaging for transport and specimen temperature control.
• Verify test requisitions against scripts and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results to respond to inquiries.
