Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Hamtramck, MI, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to lab procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires extensive phlebotomy experience, with additional training in billing and documentation as part of daily tasks. Strong English communication and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years phlebotomy experience required; pediatric and geriatric collections included.
• Keyboard or data-entry experience required.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures including drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact information.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs as required.
• Complete training courses timely.
