Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Manassas, VA, with a Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-12:00 schedule, plus rotational weekends. The role includes specimen collection, data entry, and processing, with a focus on accuracy and patient service.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, basic computer skills, and flexibility to cover shifts. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred and certain

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, Client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
