Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Stafford, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends, and pay range $23.20–$24.90 per hour.

This position requires three years of phlebotomy experience, solid data entry skills, and the ability to navigate lab information systems. Benefits include comprehensive health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client information and confirm orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
