Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Wellfleet, MA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens and support patient services. This on-site role requires accuracy, strong data entry, and the ability to follow established procedures.

The schedule covers Monday to Friday with two different shifts and rotational weekends; pay ranges from $23.20 to $24.90 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance/temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
