Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Westminster, MD, is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The role offers a pay range of $23.20–$24.90 per hour, with potential annual bonus eligibility based on performance.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing and verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining logs and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, emails.
• Comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance/temperature records.
• Complete training courses timely.
