Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Waltham, MA, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role involves specimen collection and data entry, supporting patient-testing workflows in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Pay ranges from $24.50 to $26.25 per hour; annual bonuses may apply along with a robust benefits program. The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test information and verify orders using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
