Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Manton, MI, Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM with rotational weekends. The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to lab procedures.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collection, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Medical training or phlebotomy certification is preferred. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens following established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing info; collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies.
• Assist with statistics submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training records.
• Complete training courses timely.
