Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Manistee, MI, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule. You will collect specimens, perform pre-analytical steps, and ensure accurate data entry and patient interaction in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong communication skills in English, and the ability to navigate lab information systems while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately to be successful in this role.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and handling communications.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
