Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s healthcare facility in Greensboro, NC. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8:30-5:30. Local contract for 3 months+ with pay range $19.93 to $21.36 per hour.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label/centrifuge specimens; record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match orders to requisitions; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify test requisitions against labels to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
