Qualifications

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Experience with blood draws and specimen labeling
• Proficiency with centrifuging specimens and maintaining equipment
• Accurate recording of maintenance data and updating patient information

Responsibilities

• Assist with phlebotomy tasks and workflow improvements
• Collect, store and prepare specimens per procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles
• Verify physician orders and match requisitions
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures
