Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Shenandoah, TX. The position runs Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Fridays 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM and rotational weekends. The role requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience and strong data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Navigate lab technology systems and verify orders; enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
