Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range starts at $22.35 per hour and may include annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, administering oral solutions, verifying orders in lab systems, accurate data entry for billing, and maintaining logs and training records.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience and reliable transportation with valid driver's license if applicable.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screenings).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Navigate lab technology systems to verify orders and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
