Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team on a Monday–Friday schedule 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. A valid state phlebotomy license is required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Review test/client information and verify orders using lab tech systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info; collect payments if required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email use.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation of statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs as needed.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
