Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Anniston, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist II to work Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role pays $20.00+ per hour with opportunities for annual bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits program.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, order verification, and ensuring accurate lab processing. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience and valid driver’s license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Record billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
