Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Cheshire, CT. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotating weekends. Pay ranges from $23.20 to $24.90 per hour with potential annual bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing and labeling samples, data entry, and maintaining logs. The position requires strong English communication and relevant phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric testing.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and enter data using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computer systems and ensure accurate data entry.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs as required.
• Complete training courses timely.
