Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Southington, CT. The role supports collection of specimens Monday to Friday, 8:20 AM to 5:20 PM, with rotational weekends, and offers a pay range of $21.85–$24.15 per hour.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining phlebotomy logs. Requirements include three years of phlebotomy experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Enter data accurately in computer systems and enter billing information when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
