Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Employer Solutions seeks a Phlebotomist II in Flint, MI. The position runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays. Salary offers are based on skills, experience, and certifications, with potential annual performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact; enter data accurately.
• Navigate computer systems to enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email correspondence.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
