Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a 13+ week local contract in Toms River, NJ. You will perform venipuncture and collect pediatric, geriatric, and capillary samples, while ensuring accurate processing and documentation. Excellent patient communication builds trust throughout collection.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Toms River, NJ. This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
Location: Toms River, NJ 08755
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 13+ weeks
Pay Range: $24 to $26/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience,expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties

• Perform high-quality venipuncture and blood specimen collection following established procedures
• Perform pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens accurately and safely
• Explain collection procedures clearly to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence
• Verify patient demographic information and required documentation
• Obtain patient signatures following venipuncture as required
• Verify that specimen tubes are correctly labeled and that patient information is accurate
• Prepare and process specimens according to established laboratory procedures
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum3 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Skills/Specialties/Technology:Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
