Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 2+ months

Location: TX_AHPO_1890 Research Forest Drive, Shenandoah TX 77381

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM MON-THURS, 7:00AM - 4:00PM FRI

Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents our company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established practices. The PSR II interacts directly with patients, creating a trusting environment, and explains procedures clearly. This role emphasizes leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Responsibilities may vary between doctor's offices, patient service centers, or as needed. Under supervision, perform daily activities accurately, maintain safety, and ensure proper documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold a positive image.

Job Requirements

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

• At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Experience in customer service and data entry preferred.
