Job description

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their Shenandoah, TX location.

Responsibilities:

1. The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
2. Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
3. Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
4. Demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
5. Under the supervision of the area manager, performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a safe and professional environment, and documents all activities properly. Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
3. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
4. At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
5. Minimum of 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
6. Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
7. Keyboard and data entry skills are required.
