Quest Diagnostics Inc. is hiring a Phlebotomist I in Newark, NJ. The role follows a set schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday 9:00–5:00, Thursday 9:00–6:00, with rotating every other Saturday 9:00–2:00.

Base pay ranges from $22.80 to $24.45 per hour with bonus potential based on performance and company factors. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, processing specimens, and supporting non-patient tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Navigate lab systems, verify orders with clients and data entry.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and prepare specimens for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, email).
