Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform high-quality blood collection and specimen processing in a fast-paced clinical setting in Indianapolis. You will serve as a primary laboratory representative at busy patient service centers and medical offices, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care.

The role emphasizes pediatric and obstetric/gynecologic specimen collection, independence, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months hands-on venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven ability to perform pediatric blood draws (infants and toddlers).
• Experience labeling, transporting, storing and processing specimens per procedures.
• Ability to match requisitions with specimens and maintain traceability.
• Safe operation of centrifuges and routine lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws using straight and butterfly needles.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Label, process, and store specimens per protocol.
• Ensure correct labeling and test identification for each sample.
• Maintain specimen integrity through handling and transport.
