Job summary

Millennium Health in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Full Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist to collect blood, urine or saliva, and prepare specimens for shipping to the lab. The role centers on exceptional patient service, accuracy, and clear communication with clinics.

Ideal candidates are certified phlebotomists or with 1+ year field experience, have 2+ years in customer service, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and are comfortable using smartphones and computers.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year field experience; certs optional.
• 6+ months as specimen collector or 1+ year medical field experience.
• 2+ years customer service experience may substitute for medical experience.
• Able to navigate smartphone and computer.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information and order details
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required
