Mayo Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist II to obtain quality blood samples across age groups using several collection methods. You will respond to medical emergencies, collaborate with clinicians, and ensure accurate labeling, handling, and transport of specimens.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification. Training is provided on the job, and there may be travel to other Mayo Clinic locations. Full-time schedule with day hours and potential weekend rotation.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP, NHA, or ASPT.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical field preferred.
• Willingness to travel to other Mayo Clinic locations.
• Must be able to push a cart and walk distances.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prioritize and adapt to changing workloads.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Internal applicants should attach performance appraisals.

Mansioni

• Obtain quality blood samples using venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections.
• Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
• Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high patient satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, handling, and transport; answer phones; assist with training of students and new staff.
• Complete 2 years in the position before eligible for transfer within Mayo Clinic.
