Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Glastonbury, CT, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range is $20.00 - $22.09 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing and email use.
