Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens, perform routine phlebotomy tasks, and ensure accurate patient data entry. The role runs Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekend coverage, and offers a starting pay of $20.80+ per hour.

You will work with a team of healthcare professionals, maintain logs, adhere to safety procedures, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport as required.
• Handle non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings timely.
