Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Float Phlebotomist I for a patient-focused laboratory team in Austin, TX. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods, specimen processing, and excellent patient service across ages. Travel to additional Austin-area sites may be required.

Training is provided; onsite interview required. Ideal candidates have hands-on phlebotomy experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and flexibility to travel within the Austin

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of hands-on venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; state certification maintained where applicable.
• Ability to travel to additional Austin-area locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Process specimens and prepare them for testing, including labeling and packaging.
• Explain blood-drawing and specimen-collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Enter and update patient information in the laboratory system; maintain logs.
• Assist with billing information and respond to patient or lab inquiries.
