Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist Representative I for our Roanoke hospital operation. The role operates Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with rotational weekends, and offers a pay range of $20.00–$23.37 per hour.

The Phlebotomist I draws blood samples from patients in a fast-paced hospital setting and maintains patient trust through accurate, courteous care. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling specimens, data entry, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood from patients of all ages.
• Label and process specimens following laboratory protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy carts and work areas.
• Enter data and manage standing orders as required.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with training new staff or students as needed.
