Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Quinton, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens according to established procedures and to support client testing needs. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends, and pays $21.50–$23.05 per hour.

The position requires three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, data entry skills, and proficiency with lab technology systems. Benefits and performance bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if applicable.
• Effective communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs timely and complete training courses.
