Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist Representative I for a hospital assignment in Christiansburg, VA, working Monday to Thursday from 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM.

The role involves drawing quality blood samples, labeling, data entry, and maintaining safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities include patient phlebotomy, specimen processing, and collaboration with nursing staff and lab personnel.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
• Label and process specimens according to lab protocol.
• Maintain phlebotomy carts and work areas.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing.
• Assist training of new staff or students.
• Rotate through inpatient, outpatient, ED settings as scheduled.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Complete required logs and data entry accurately.
