Job summary

ICONMA’s client, a medical research company in Norwich, CT, is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join the on-site team. The position involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, while explaining procedures to patients with care and professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of phlebotomy experience, and data entry skills; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients and explain procedures.
• Draw blood samples and prepare for lab testing following established procedures.
• Maintain a trusting, professional atmosphere and ensure safe, accurate specimen collection.
• Work under supervision to complete daily tasks and maintain records.
• Promote a positive image and uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
