Job summary

ICONMA supports a Medical Research client in Wethersfield, CT seeking a Phlebotomist I. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for testing, and communicating clearly with patients to ensure comfort and trust.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, following established procedures, and performing duties under supervision with professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in.
• Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures a safe, accurate collection.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
• Under supervision, performs daily activities accurately and maintains records and documentation.
