Job summary

Talentify in Winsted, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our medical research team. You will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and present a calm, professional experience for patients during procedures.

Under supervision, you will maintain accurate records, follow established practices, and safeguard confidentiality. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months phlebotomy experience, and phlebotomy certification preferred; data entry skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy course completion required by state credentials.

Responsibilities

• Represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintains a safe and professional environment, and documents records.
