Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy student role criteria as outlined in job posting.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Computer literate and able to use hospital/lab computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and provides instructions per AIDET-like model.
• Interpret physician orders and ensure correct processing in the information system.
• Use hospital and laboratory computer systems to retrieve information and communicate with staff.
• Maintain safe, clean phlebotomy areas and restock supplies.
• Attend in-services and participate in ongoing education.
• Adhere to ICARE principles for patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
