Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to safely and accurately obtain venous and capillary samples from patients of all ages. You will interpret physician orders and ensure complete processing in the information system while maintaining compassionate, respectful care.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, evaluating orders, using hospital systems, and communicating with clinicians to ensure timely specimen collection. Training and adherence to ICARE are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy student status acceptable.
• Must be 18+ years old and on track to graduate within 12 months.
• Experience in customer service and basic computer literacy preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and collects specimens per policy.
• Operates hospital systems to process orders.
• Uses PDA for patient identification and communication.
• Maintains safe, clean phlebotomy work areas.
• Attends training and adheres to ICARE principles.
